Bespoke picture framing
Artwork
comes in different sizes which rarely fit ready made frames.
If artwork is to be enhanced and displayed to best advantage then
it requires the mount and frame to be built around it. The
correct width of mount borders, the choice of mount colour and the
careful selection of the frame adds to the art rather than diminishes
it. Bespoke framing is our speciality. Together with us,
you can choose from a very large selection of mounts and frames and we
will construct a high quality showcase for the art which exactly
matches and exceeds your expectations.
Not only is the display
of art important but also we take great care in the choice of materials
and processes to provide a stable environment for the long term care
of art. Therefore all materials in contact with the artwork
are acid free and some provide a buffer to neutralise the corrosive
effects over time of airborne pollutants such as sulfur dioxide.
Our
mounting techniques ensure that art can always be released from the
mount at a future date without any harm. We pride ourselves in

Ready Made Frames
For
when you do have standard size pictures especially photographs and
certificates we now have a fine range of ready made frames.
All of them are made in the shop to the same high standard as our
bespoke frames and many come with quality window mounts. We are
steadily increasing the number of styles available. If your
pictures are an unusual size we can also cut mounts to fit.
Repairs
We offer a reglazing service for pictures and can provide standard
glass or any of our range of speciality glass types. We
send your old broken glass to the factory for recycling
Mountcutting
Frame has a
computerized mountcutter and this means perfectly cut mounts, time
after time. Our extensive range of mountboard colours totals over
100. We can also cut multiple window mounts, for photos and
include text boxes.
Frames
Having over
300 samples on display means that we will always have the ideal style
for your project. Choose from Gold, Silver, Black, White, natural
woods, stained woods, and distressed styles. We are specialists
in box frames including ultra-deep styles. Frames are joined with
invisible pins and glue to ensure very strong corner bonding.
Finishing
Our
bespoke frames are finished to a very high degree, the glass is cleaned
inside and out and we provide rings and wire plus free wall fixings.
Backs are sealed with strong gummed tape to ensure dust and
airborne pollutants are inhibited from entry.
Mirrors
We can make mirrors to exactly the dimensions you specify from many of the frames we stock.
